Maritime Breepers Assccia1i0N.—The annual meeting of the Maritime Stock Breeders Association was held at Truro on Wedoesday. The attendance of members was large, and the proceedings throughout very enthusiastic. The meeting was at- tended by Mr. Hobson, of Ontario, who gave much valuable information to the farmers present. Prince Edward Island was represented by Messrs. E. R. Brow, F. G. Bovyer and F. L. Haszard, each of whom read able aod instructive papers. Mr. Brow’s paper dealt with the Guernsey as a dairy cow, Mr. Bovyer’s paper related to the subject of transportation, aod Mr. Haszard di-cussed the dog ques- tioo with epecial reference to the protec tion of sheep. It is understood that the papers will be published in the Co operative Farmer.

At Grand River, Lot l4,o0n Nov. 30th, after a severe illness, Sylverius McKinnon, aged 61 years and 5 months. He leaves a wife seven sous and seven daughters to mourn their joss. R.I. P.

At Danbury, Iowa, on the 20th of De- cember, after a lingering illness, John Diamond, aged 86 yeara, leaving a wife and three sons and six danghters to mourn the lose of a kind husband and father. He was a former pioneer of P. E. Island.
