Eastern Cattle Markets

Oattle prices recorded a gain of 1k to 25c at Toronto where action was good throughout the week's trading. Best weighty steers were priced at $13.50 fo $13.75 and butchers up to $12.50. The offering at Montreal was mostly of common to just med- ium qualiiy and top steers made $13.50, good ikinds mostly $12 to $13, and good butch-er cows $9.50 to S10 and $10.50. In the Maritinim, receipts were a little below the previous week and prices steady. with medium to good steers $11.25 to 011.75 delivered. and medium cows up to 00.

Western Cattle Markets

With buyers keen in their de- mands. good support was given to a‘! western markets for cattle dur~ his the week. The better grades held about steady at Winnipeg. although cows and iri-between killing classes were a shade low- or, but all replacement cattle fully steady.
