Not a Very Seductive Picture.

Having received numerous Jetters from friends on the Island, re British Columbis and its chances for young mev,I ask the privilege of replying through the columne of your paper. British Columbia, vo doubt, isa country possessing great wealth, and offers to the capitalist many induce. ments, the three principal sources of rev- enue being mining, fieheries aud lumber. The professor received his guest with warm enthusiasm, but apparent embar- rassment.
