MRS. JOHN W- JAY

The death of Mrs. John W. Jay occurred at her home in Pisqllld west on Nov. 11. 1955- I

She was born in Johnston s River ninety years ago. NI?! E"'-"bani eltiesl child of Kenneth and Isohe (Jenkins) MacDonald. on Dec. 3 . 1890. she married John w. Jay of Pisquld and had resided in that community ever since except for a few years that she lived with her brother. the late P. J. Mac- Donald. in Charlottetown.

Blessed with good health she en- joyed a lung and useful life. She was ever ready to land a halplnl hand to those In need. I-Ier jovial disposition won for her many friends both old and young.

Her husband predeceahed her twenty-two years ago. She was a member of Mt. Stewart United Church and also a member of the Women's Missionary Society of that church. She leaves to mourn the loss of a loving mother. tha follow- ing daughters and sons: (Marion) Mrs- Reany Jay. Fanning Brook: llsobel) Mrs. James 1!. MacLauch- Ian, stanhope; Malcohn 3. Hall- lax. Portrait Entries Judged

Interest was keen on Monday night at the meeting of the Char- lottetown Camera Club. and espec- ially so among the entrants inlhe Classes A and B competitions on Portraits. George Lewis Judged the ten entries in Class B placing pictures by Edith Hume first and third. and by Lois MacDonald. second.

Thirtccn portraits in the Class A competition were judged by Mr. George Wotton in collaboration with Mr. D.W. Sears of Summer- side. and the adjudication given by Mr. wotton- Placing first was a print by Bob Donnelly; second. by Margaret Mallett. and third by Rolland Taylor.

Most of the evening was given over to Mr. Wotton who demonstr- atcd and took pictures using twelve

Talk Home Rule For Singapore
