An Act for appropriating certain moneys therein mentioned, for the service of the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six.

May it please your Excellency;

7 E Her Majesty’s dutiful and loyal subjects, the House ofAssembly of Prince Edward Island, toward appropriating the several supplies for the exigencies of Her Majesty’s Government, do humbly beseech that it may be enacted.

And be it therefore enacted by the Lieutenant Governor, Council and Assembly, That by and out of such moneys as from time to time shall he and remain in the Public Treasury of this Island, there shall be allowed and paid for the services herein mentioned the several sums following :

A sum of three hundred pounds to defray the expenses of Boards of Health lortbo present year.

And a sum of three hundred pounds to defray the expenses of Buoys and Beacons for the present year.

And a sum ofsixty pounds to detray the allowances to the three High Sheriffs for the present year.

And a sum of twenty pounds to pay the salary of the Messenger ofthe Executive Council.

And a sum of foity-live pounds to pay the salary ofthe Keeper ofthe Bonded \Varehouse, Charlotte— town.

And a sum of eighty-five pounds to defray the expenses ol Gas to the Public Buildings.

And a sum of ninety pounds to defray the cost of fuel for the Public Oflices.

And a sum of fourteen hundred pounds to defray the expenses of Lighthouses and Lights.

And a sum of one thousand pounds, or as much thereof as may be required, to defray the expenses of Public Printing and Stationery for the present year.

And a sum of six hundred pounds to defray the incidental and contingent expenses of the Executive Government for the present year. _ .

And a sum of one thousand pounds, in addition to the allowance by statute, to defray the incidental and contingent expenses of the Lunatic Asylum for

the present year.

And a sum of twenty pounds to pay the salary of the Crier ofthe Supreme Court.

And a sum of fifty pounds to defray the expenses of Coroners’ lnquests.

And a sum of seventeen pounds ten shillings to defray the salaryofthe Harbor Master at Charlotte- town.

And a sum of fifty pounds for wages and fuel for the Guard at Government House for the present year.

And a sum of twenty-five pounds to defray the salary and disbursements at the signal station at Charlottetown.

And a sum of ninety-five pounds to defray the Rent of the Bonded \Varehouses at Charlottetown and Summerside.

And a sum of seventy-five pounds to the Legisla- tive Library Committee for the purchase of Books, Maps and Atlases.

And a sum of one hundred and fifty pounds to the Government House Committee for disbursements in and about Government House.

And a sum of one hundred pounds at the disposal of the Government to defray the cost of repairs to and disbursements connected with the Colonial Building.

And a sum of two hundred and fifty pounds to defray the expenses of repairs to Queen’s County Jail.

And a sum of one hundred and ten pounds to de- fray the expenses of the management of Savings’ Bank.

And a sum of three hundred pounds to pay the salaries of the Cont-rollers of Customs and Naviga- tion Law’s, and the Collectors of Impost for the several out ports of this Island (excepting George- town and Summerside), the same to be paid by warrant on the Treasurer oftbis Island.

And a sum of seventy-five pounds to be granted to Country Postmasters, in addition to their allow- ances by statute.

And a sum of three hundred pounds to defray the eXpenses of Public Surveys and other services in connection with the Crown Land Office.

And a sum of six hundred pounds to defray the contingent and incidental eXpenses of holding Gene-

ral Elections. Ancl a sum ofseventy pounds for Saint Paul’s and

Scatterie Lights. And a sum of fifty pounds to the Deaf and Dumb

Institution at Halifax.
