The accussiicn s made by the naval petty force, and if true, is one of the most grevious and dia- honorable ever brought against a member of the force there. In making the report he officer said he was passing along the street with a woman, when the policeman snccosted him, and said he would arres* him. The naval man asked on what charge, saying he had done nothing to call for arrest. The policeman said the woman bore a bad reputation, snd being in her ompany at such a late hour justified the arrest.
