'13 pursuance of an Act of the General Assembly of - this Island. made and ptlSSt-d in the 27th year of the reign of licr Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled “An Act to consolidate and amend the several Laws im- posing an Assessment on all Lands in this Colony, and for the encouragement of Education ;” and, also. of an Act made and passed in the Thirtieth y gar of the same reign, intituled '~‘ An Act to amend the Act relating to Land Assessment :"

I do hereby publicly notin the owners or occupiers of land in this island, for which the annual Assessment or Assessments charged thereon by the said recited Acts or some one or more of them, of nine shillings and two- pencc, lawful money of this Island for every hundred acres of wilderness or unimproved lands contained 1n the several Townships and the Islands belonging there- to; and the sum of six shillings and eight-pence of like money for every hundred acres ofcultivated or improv- ed lands in the said several Townships and Islands as aforesaid; and at the rate of nine shillings and two-pence of like money per hundred acres for wilderness or unim— proved Town Lots and Pasture Lots in the Town and i-Eoyalty of Princetown; and at the rate of six shillings and eight-pence of like money per hundred acres tor cultivated or improved Town Lots and Pasture Lots in the. Town and Royalty of I’rincotown as aforesaid; and at the rate of two shilling and six—pence of like money for each and every Lot in Charlottetown. formerly oc- cupied as the Barrack Square, in proportion to area on the same footing and to the same extent as ’l‘oWn Lots in Charlottetown; and the sum of four shillings of like money tor each and every uncultivated or unimproved Town Lot. Common Lot, and \Vater Lot granted in

he Town and Common of Charlottetown ; and the sum of six shillings of like money for each and every uncul- tivated or unimproved Pasture Lot in the Royalty of Charlottetown; and the sum of four Shillings of like money for each and every cultivated or improved Pas- ture Lot in the Royalty; and the sum of two shillings and six-pence of like money for each and every Cultiva- ted or improved Town Lot and Water Lot in the said Town; and the sum of two shillings of like money for each and every cultivated or improved Common Lot as aforesaid; and the sum of Two shillings and eight-pence of like. money for each and every uncultivated or unim- proved Town Lot and \Vatcr Lot in the Town ofGeorgo town; and the sum of one shilling and four-pence of like money for each and chry cultivated and improved Town Lot and \Vatcr Lot in the last mentioned Town ; and the sum of three shillings and four-pence of like money for each and cVery uncultivated or unii’nproved Pasture Lot in the Royalty of Georgetown; and the sum of tire shillings of like money for each and evory culti- vated or improved Pasture Lot in the last mentioned {oyalt '; and the sum of two-pence of like money for each and every acre of cultiyated or improved Land in the Royalty of Georgetown. called “ Reserved Lands ;” and the sum of three-pence of like money for each and every acrcr oflast mentioned lands as may he deemed unculti *ated or unimproved Lands, and so in pmportion for a less quantity,——is payable; that unless the Assess- ment or Assessments for the current year imposed by the said recited Acts. or some one or more of them. be paid into my hands. or the hands of any of my deputies, (as required by law) on or before the ﬁfteenth day of December next, I shall proceed against all such Lands as shall then be in art-car for non-payment- ot the sums

I do hereby publicly notify the owners or occupiers of Land and Real Estate in Georgetown and Connnon, for which the annual assessment levied thereon by the Assessors for said Town and Common is payable, that unless the assessment for the current year be paid into the hands oer. Archibald McKinnon, my collector for said Town and Common. within the time prescribed bylaw. pro- ceedings Will be taken against all such Lands and Real Estate as shall then be in arrears for tho non-pay- ment of the sums charged thereon. agreeably to the directions of the abovo recited Act.
