Getting Published," a four-page booklet full of information every poet needs to know.

The American Poetry Association has sponsored poetry contests for 8 years and has awarded $200,000 in prizes to 3,400 poets.

Every morning at five I wake up to the morning star. My next door neighbour

the ocean switches on constant waves, music to my soul. My daily walk along

the shore, my hope of seeing a mermaid’s shadow against the rising sun.

Reason for living, reason to dream.

Today morning star greets me, music plays calmly, gentle mist accompanies my

walk. I dream my mermaid dancing, instead, I live to see.a ghostly figure, a

lady who twirls herself on the floor of Heaven.

Reason for living, reason beyond dreams, my soul smiles.

The. Department of Agriculture, Fredericton, is seeking a veterinarian to be responsible for the delivery of veterinary services io the province's commercial poultry industry. Your duties wii! include the provision of on-farm diagnostics, treat- ment, control and preveniative veterinary services, as well as the development and implementation of flock health pro- grams. You will also interact with poultry producers, depart- mental staff and other poultry specialists in Canada and the U.S. Extensive travel within the province will be required.

You possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent from a recognized school af veterinary medicine and are eligible for registration by the New Brunswick Veterinary Medical Association. You have the ability to interact well with poultry producers and department personnel. Although previous related poultry management and veterinary expe- rience in the commercial poultry industry is an asset, written and spoken competence in English is required.
