Both Evinrudes and Crystals (before them it was Aces) gave good entertainment to those fre quenting Charlie Hogan's win. ter playground. The Cape boys had an exceptionally fandom who followed them from the Stadium to Charlottetown’s Sports Arena. The season of 1960- 61 Evinrudes went out easy fashion in the playoffs but last February they turned on their former tormentors. Old Spain Penguins. and ousted them to the sidelines in five games. It was probably the greatest up- set the league had ever known but you can be sure Evinrudes ’and their supporters enjoyed

every moment of it.

In the 1960-61 campaign. the Aces found themselves in a bit- ter final battle with the Ben- gulns. It was the best-of-seven feud and after six ngs were all even. Charlottetown's Sports Arena was the scene of the crucial tilt and Penguins came through with a lopsided decision. The Birds went on to oust Saint John Oilers in th e N.B.-P.E.I. playdowns and then were beaten by Amherst Ramb- lers for the Maritime crown.
