A quiet but pretty wedding was held this autumn amid baskets of gladiollot the Mulberry Lodge Snmmersidc, when Doris Elaine Ramsay and Arnold Simpson Bar- rett were united in marriage. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor W. Ramsay, Southwest; Lot 16. The groom is the son' of Mr. and Mrs. Major W. Barrett, Belmont, Lot 16.
The minister, vihe'Rov. R. Robson. performed the double ring ceremony. The organist was Mrs. Eric The minist, Astrid Miller sang “Be.- cause” before the ceremony and («no Walk Beside You” during the sizzling of the register.
The bride, given in marriage by her father. wasall bridal lov- il'ness, in her while portrait, ank- l_e length, silk organza gown over taffeta and net. The neckline was oval shape with. lace trim. The short sleeves’of the dress were complemented with long silk or- gnza mitts. The full swirling
lot was made an Princess lines with lace oppliqucd‘ on nap waist line. Her only ornaments were pearl necklance and earrings, gifts of, the groom.
.A fibgvertip veil of nylon not with 1 ice trim fell from a tiara of soqvinss and pearls. The bride’s bouquet was a cascade of white feathered carnations with ivy.

The ushers were Mr. Ivan Ramsay, brother of the bride, and Mr. Edward Clark.
The bride’s mofther wore a brown shoaoh dress with match- ing bolero a,_ gold and brown _ ‘ corsage was of white roses. They groom’s mother wore a champagne color dress with button trim and beige ac- cessories. Her corsage was yel- low roses. , l « .
The bride‘s grandmother, Mrs. Roy F. MacLean‘, Charlottetown, wore a charcoal and pink fleck suit and black accessories. Her oorsage was white roses.
A reception for approximately sixty-five guests was heldat the Mulberry Lodge where the bride’s table was centered with a three tier wedding cake topped with a wedding bell decoration. Tit tables had vases of sweet peas.
The toast to the bride was proposed by the Rev. K. R. Hob- son and responeded to by the groom.
Miss Christine Ramsay, sister of the bride was in charge ofthe guest book. Following the wed- ding the happy young couple left on a honeymoon trip to Eastern States and Southern Ontario. The bride travelled in a nlle green brocaded satin sheath dress with matching cummerbuulnd, and a nile green wool top coat. Hex acces- sories were black and white. Her oorsage was Orange Delight ros- es. '
Upon their return Mr. and Mrs. Barrett will resie in Belmo‘ut, where, the groom is engaged in farming. The bride is employed as a stenographer with the do- par‘bmeml of National Defence. ROAF Stallion, Summersicle.
