Gounod: setting of Cecil Frances Alexander's "There is a green hill far away" was very sweetly sung by Mrs. A. O. Vincent. The anthem of the morning was "Fairest 10rd Jesus." At the evening service Dr, Vin- cent gathered up briefly the points dlscused in his series of sermons on “Ihe Christian attitude toward amusements" and gave an eloquent and strongly constructive address on ‘The better way." which was heard with close attention by a very large congregation. Whereas at present distemper is prevalent among dogs in Charlotte- town and vicinity, tho attention ol the public is drawn to Sections i and 2 of “An Act Respecting Dogs“. being Chapter l8 of the Statutes of 1032, reading as follows:

1. Every dog found at large with- out iis- o_wncr or other person in charge thereof, is required to be cf- fectuslly muzzlcd. Provided a dog shall not be deemed to be at large while within the limits of his own- er's property.

2. Every dog found at large with- out its owner or other person in charge thereof and not muzzlcd as aforesaid may be immediately shot cr otherwise destroyed b; any per- son, and any person may kill any dog which he sees pursuing, worry- ing. or wounding any sheep or lamb, notwithstanding that such dog may he rnuzsled as aforesaid, and not- withstanding said dog may be in charge of his owner or other per- son; and any owner, keeper or care- taker of any enclosure in which foxes or other fur bearing animals are kem for breeding purposes may kill any dog which he sees wander- ing in the neighborhood of such en- closure, not being in the charge oi’ its owner or other person nor on its owners’ property, whether muzzlcd u- not.
