.3 MOTOR VESSEL IN PORT -The motor vessel "Trinity North", arrived in port at Mon- tague. yesterday from Burin, Newfoundland. under the com- mand of Capt. Ken Waltis. The vessel will take on a. cargo of mixed produce from local export- ers prior to sailing for Sydney and Newfoundland.
'SOCIAL EVENING -- The members of Acme Rebekah Lodge and I-lillside Lodge, 1. O. O. F.. Montague, and their friends en- joyed a social evening in the lodge rooms on Thursday. May 17th, at the close of the regular session of Acme. Auction forty-lives were featured in the entertainment with prizes going to Mrs. Byron Stewart and Mr. Archie Hilchey. Consolation prizes were presented to Mrs, Marshall Reynolds, and Mr. John Annesr. Following the presentation of prizes and I delic- ious lunch, Mr. Archie Hilchey, as master of ceremonies. presented Mr. Harry liigginbotham with an Oddfellows ring from the lodges and expressed the sincere regrets of the members at his departure from Montague. at the same time wishing him luck and best wishes in his chosen career. Mr. Higgin- botham, although taken by sur- prise, in a few words graciously expressed his appreciation for such a token of friendship. Mrs. Howard Vickerson. E. H. Stewart and C. A. Shaw also spoke briefly expressing how much Mr. Higgin- botham will be missed in the lodge. Everyone joined in singing "For He's A Jolly Good Fellow."

Morell To Have Blood Donor Clinic
The people of Menu and North Rustico are very much alive to the great numbers of blood donors re- quired to meet the demands of patients In the Island's hospitals. our armed forces overseas. and for civilian defence. This is evidenced by the fact that both of these loc- alities have requested that Red Cross Blood Donor Clinics be held in their localities. The Clinic in Morcll has been arranged for Wed- ncsday morning. May 30th. t t It) and 12 at the Canadian Legion Hall, but it was deemed advisable to postpone the North Rustico Clinic until the next visit of the Mobile Team which will be to- wards the end of August.
The Catholic Women's League, the Women's Institute and the Canadian Legion at Morell are all combining their efforts to make the Clinic in their locality the most. successful ever held in the prov- ince and are determined to come as close as possible to their object- ive of 100 donors. In order to be able to do this, Morell must have the full co-operation of the people In the surrounding districts so the Morcll Committee and Provincial Red Cross Headquarters are con- tacting individuals and groups in the area and urging them to secure as -many donors as possible for this
