The merchants of Montague, Cardigan and Bridgetown have agreed to close their stores all day on Dominion Day, and at 7.30 o’clock each evening during the month of July, Saturdays excepted.

Camp Bricaron.—All the officers and men of the 82nd*Battalion and Companies 4 and 5 of the 4th Regt., @. A., have ar- rived at Camp Brighton. The eight com- panies of the 82nd Battalion are in camp, and together with the artillery bring the total strength up to between 450 and 500. The companies are very nearly all full Sergt.-Instructor Sutherland is inetruct. ing the artillery, while the infantry is receiving instruction from Sergis. Mr. J. L. Foster, who has been a member of the teaching staff of St. Peter’s School for several montas, left on return to Mabone, N.S. Mr. Foster bas been Lieutenant of the Boys Brigade of St. Peter’s Church since its organization, and the Brigade escorted him to the station and cheered him lurtily as ihe train moved out.
