The S2.000.000 vessel, to be oper- ated for the federal government by Northumberland Ferries. Ltd., was authorized 'by Parliament last year. It will operate between Wood Islands, P.E.I.. and Caribou, N53.

The vessel, for carry 60 automo- biles and trucks. is due to go into operation in the spring of 1956.

While the contract for its con- sirucilon has not been let, it was reported it will be built at the shipyard in Pictou, N.S.
