NEW YORK. Oct, fi- (AP)—A smattering of favorites continued to make headway in today's stock market while many leaders doze-d in lower territory.

The Associated Press Oil-stock composite was off .4 of a point, st 62-3.

Weakness prevailed in the Can- adian group. C, P. R. and Hiram Walker each lust 112 and Dis- tillers Seagram slipped 3-4, Lake Shore on the curb was oii’ 1-4.
