McGrynis, the immigrant who told the sensational story of three murders that he committed in England, and thus secured nis incarceration in the goal at Brockville, confesses that the story was manufactured from whole cloth and had not a single element of truth. He adheres to the story that his name is McGinn’s and also that he was born in London. His reason for tell- ing the yarn is that he was sent away from home, and in order to spite his relatives concluded to get into disgrace. He had relatives in both England and Ireland npon whom the confession would bring shame and disgrace. Since being inecarce- } rated his mind has relented, and he now|} admits with shame and regretjthat he told a} wilful lie.
