The Feal and the Calt.

It is an interesting study to note in domestic animals the traits of their wild ancestors. There are some charac- teristics, of course, which are readily cecognizable as being similar to those of animals still in a wild state, and fos this reason they give a fair idea of the life and surroundings of progenitors. The habits of the dog and cat are too familiar to comment on, but take the foal aud compare his traits with those at the calf.
