LONGEVITY.—Two remarks able cases of longevity have recently been reported in the diatrict of Cork, Ireland lo Baniry, on the route to Glengariff, there bas juet died a woman named Mary Spil- land, who is Gartified to have been at leas 112 yeareod. She had been a widow for fifty years asd boasted of havisg many grandchil iren and great grand-children in the United Stetee. She maintained all her faculities to the last, Sbe remem-~ bered the French invasion of Bantry Bay io 1796, and she was married inthe year of the battle of Waterloo. The second case is reported from Coachford, about sixteen miles west of Cork. The woman is still alive and in extreme want. Her maiden name was O'Sullivan (Gow), and she married a man named Mountjoy. She is reported to be Ll5 years ofege. She has been confined to ber bed for the last two years and is abit deaf and cf weak slight. She speaks Geelic and knows no English.
