’Carnival has always tradi— tionally come at a time when people need a break from studying. It came so early this year that nobody’really had time to even start study- ing. Maybe we should have another Carnival this year. ED. '

If this is the case,the ‘ V ‘ University should attempt to get a liquor licence for every weekend of the year. We could have a fest- ival or carnival for the first day of fall and one for the first day of spring. We could have one for Halloween and another for Trudeau's birth- day. If the student body 'really put their minds to it, theyrcould think of a reason for every weekend there is.

These festivities have always fallen on a weekend with a football or hockey game. I can see no reason for restricting it only to these"two sports. They could also be held in conju~ nction with basketball games, or tiddlywinks tournaments.

A little bit of creativness would have to heﬁused to" changevthe-procedings around so that it wouldn't get boring from one week to the next. Some other beer drinking cultures would have to be used instead of the Irish and the Germans all the time. Instead of highlights of the Canada—Russia hockey series, we could show films of the

It has come to my attention that duplicate coffee machines may be found in the faculty lounge and the New Library.
