Mr. Gaudet. while help- lng a neighbour with his car which was stuck in snow drift. was struck by a stone from the spinning wheel 011' the vehicle. He was taken to the Western Hospital, Alberton. where an examination showed him to be suffering from 0 broken bone in the leg. Mr Gaudet is resting comfortably but it will be some time before he can be arbout again.

The publishers, William Collins and Sons. say the book. by 61- year-old Richard Adllngton. well- lmown novelist and biographer. will "erase Lavnronce from the pages of history."

T. E. Lawrence, who died in a motorcycle crash in 1936, was widely accepted as a man who rallied desert tribes in the Middle East against the Turks in the First World War.

Encyclopedias and history books record Lawrence as I. shy young archeologlst. who led the Arab tribes in their revolt. Much -of the legend or his courage and stirring deeds comes from his own books. ”I'he Seven Pillars of Wisdom” and "Revolt in the 'desert.”

Aldington says Lawrence played a much more minor part in the revolt than he claimed. Ho dc- clarcs his researches have proved that ':Seven Pillars of Wisdom" was a work of quasi-fiction" ra- ther than a factual account.

Aldington told nis publishers he had tried to be fair to Lawrence. "But," he added, "I have not been able to conceal my indtgnntior. that such a man would have be- come one of the herpes of the war of 1914-1918."

Colin Cameron (G01-1-Nanalmo) had asked Mr. Howe. who reporls to Parliament for Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd.. whether Canada is conducting experiments similar to Britain's to harness eht atom for industrial punposas.

Mr. Howe said the atomic energy plant. at Chalk River, Ont, al- ways has devoted its energies to

research in peacetime uses of atomic power. Canada was not Interested in developing atomic

Research into industrial uses of atomic power was actively pro- ceeding and considerable progress was being made.
