. Sudden Death . In Montague

The town of Montague was sad- dened to learn of the sudden death early yesterday morning of Mr. mule Bourke. at the age of 76.

Mr. Bourke was about his work on Tuesday but suffered a heart attack through the night and pas- Ied away early yesterday morning.

The late Mir. Burke, was born in Charlottetown the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bourke. He was employed with Montague Fur- niture Co. for the past forty years.

Left to mourn his passing is one daughter Louise. Mrs. John Mac- Donald, Montague. with whom he resided and one son Arthur, Van- aouver, B. C.. also surviving are two brothers, Vernon, West Royal-

Show At Eastern Kings Ex.

Competition in the dairy cattle classes at the Eaetem King's Ex- hibition was quite keen yesterday as exhibitors in the Holstelns. Ayr- shire. Jersey and Guernsey classes divided honors before a good sized crowd of spectators around the show ring.

The prize for showing the best dairy cow was won by Brent Stead of Bay Fortune with his well de- veloped Ayrshire. t

J. Lincoln Dewar of New Perth and R. L. Burgc of St. Peter's top- ped the winners in the Holstein classes. Mr. Dewar won eight firsts. six seconds. a third anr a fourth as well as showing the champion male and female animals.

Mr. Burge won four firsts. two seconds and three fourths.

Howard Nantor won the big prize with the champion rain of the show. champion Oxford ewe along with six other firsts. other winners were John Robertson. J. B. Maclsaac. Frank Macllulay and Maccormack Bros. The judge was Alex Hamilton.

The poultry class was also well represented. and Mr. 1". A. Drlscoll spent considerable time deciding winners. The bride. who entered the church on the arm of her brother Herbert, wore a floor-length gown of white chantllly lace and net over sattln, fashioned in Elizabeth- an style with long train. high wing collar, fitted bodice and long sleeves coming to points over the wrists. She wore 'a chapel veil of tulle illusion with tiara crown fashioned with seed pearls. and carried a. bouquet of pink roses and baby chrysanthemums.

She was attended by her sister Alice (Mrs. George MacDonald) who was attired in is gown of pale green nylon net over satin with taiieta cape, matching head- dress and mitts. and carried a. bouquet of yellow roses and dais- lea.

Mrs. Gus Peters. the bride's mother, chose a grey silk jersey and lace dress with white acces- sories and wore a pink corsage.

The best man was Mr. Ronald J. MacDonald. brother of the groom. The ushers were Mr. George MacDonald and Mr. Ste- phen Peters.

During the Mass.appropriate hymns were sung by Mrs. G. L. Burjaw who also played the wed- ding march.

Following the ceremony a re- ception and breakfast was held at the Wentworth Arms Hotel. The table was decorated with pink candlesticks and centered with a three-tier wedding cake topped with miniature bride and groom. The toast was proposed by Mr. Herbert Peters and responded to by the groom.
