was the shirts: "They made you feel you weren't welcome- like you're invading° Every- one should join in."

The week as a whOle seems to have gone over great - "even greater" said John Lane "if everyone had gone out.“ Many said they met lots of .kids and one mentioned that it was sharp how they had time to orientate themselves and not just get stuck in classes right away.

Joan Deagle, eighteen, was talking about the good atmosphere and said that the "Freshmen got to know each other really well - espec- ially in Marian."

Carole King was en- thusiastic when she spoke about the atmosphere at U.P.E.I° being "really friendly - just beautiful. And the Seniors really helped out great."

5 ON FRESHMAN ORIENTATION

Another bit about Seniors came from Howard Simpson who said very aptly that "Once you're here, you're gonna be here for four years — it's going to be the same all the way 'round."

The Pig and Whistle seemed to be a hit, as was Edward Bear. With apprecia- tion in her voice, one Freshette said it was a good concert and that they must have gone to a lot of trouble to get them here.

but some were new and needed helpo Soon you settle down into things." Everyone seemed to think the folios were great and agreement was quick as far as people being helpful was concerned. But one per—

son who felt the folios and people were great still felt lost and quipped, "Who needs

signs when there are still more people to ask?"

Thus are the ups and downs of the Freshmen's impressions but pretty well everyone was of one mind on

one topic: the atmosphere was - and is - GREAT! So, with our new supply of power apparently right behind us, this should be a great year for U.p.E.IU
