A MIDDLE-AGED man, who gives his name as Macdonald, and hails from Boston, occupied a cell in the police station this afternoon. During the greater part of the forenoon he amused himself by running about Queen St.,

fighting with imaginary opponents, and making himself a nuisance generally. The

policemen endeavored to quiet him but he dis- regarded their advice, and started off at a teriffic pace for the Northern end of the city. The policemen became nettled at their advice being treated so contemptuously, and started after Macdonald. The chase continued, amid much enthusiasm on the pert of the spectators

Distinguished Relationship. Charles Ward, of Sackville, Westmor land, claims somewhat near relationship with the wife of President Cleveland. It is stated that the Folsom family, to which the lady of the White House belongs, formerly lived in Sackville. They moved to New York State two or generations ago, but the Sackville relatives are not to admit that they and the Buffalo Folsoms have kept up communication almost ever since.
