(Halifax Mall, Iany. 30th.) Tile death occurred ill Charlotte- town yesterday of Gerald Strong, formerly oi Halifax. Mr. Strong, who wasthirty-two years old. was a

war veteran and had suffered from

overseas. -

The deceased was a. son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy T. Sttflllfl. and had resided in Halifax practically all his, life. He is survived by his wife,i formerly Miss Beatrice Bissett. of Windsor, and three children, the youngest three weeks old. Mrs. Strong is a daughter of the late H. F and Mrs. Bissett, also of Wind- sor. Mrs. Ralph Dimock, of that town, is a sister-in-law.

Mr. Strong resided in Moiicton for several years and travelled ex- tensively through that province where he made many friends. He went to Charlottetown m a. repre- sentative of Johnston and Ward and in November lost opened a brokerage business of his own. His death-was entirely unexpected as he had been ill only for a few days. Pneumonia was the cause of his passing. Mr. Strong's only brother. Major Cecil Strong, of the Imper- ilil Army, was killed ill France.

Interment, will be made in Hali- fax, lhe body being accompanied by members of the family, including Mrs. Strong, senior, who was at her son‘s bedside, having silent Christ- mas on the Island.
