Imperial Oil Limited is rushing five drilling rigs across the soft- ening muskeg and mud into the area of its Judy Creek discovery well.

Electric Company Earnings Decline:

TORONTO (CP) — Canadian General Electric Company Ltd. Wednesday reported a nine-per- cent decrease in earnings for 1958 over the previous year.

In its annual report, the com- pany ‘showed net earnings of $10,070,230 or $53.04 a share for | 1958, compared with $11,079,379 or $58.37 in 1957.

J. Herbert Smith, president, said the company’s sales for 1958 totalled $232,526,531, an 11 per cent decrease over 1957's total of $260 028,358.
