The death occurred at her home in Coleman during the early hours of yesterday morning of Mrs. Rob- ert C. MocNaught, mother of Mr. J. Watson MacNIught. M.P.. of Summercide.

Although her health had not been good for some time her death came in a heat. shock to the members of her family and to the people of the community.

Born seventy-six years ago at Knutsford. she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Mares- head. Most-of her married life was spent at Coleman where, down through the years, she made 8 host of friends who will sincerely regret her passing.

Besides her husband she leaves to mourn three sons. Rev. Roy MacNIught in the republic of San Salvador. J. Watson MacNaught. M.P.. Summerside and Bruce Mac- Naughr residing on the homestead: three daughters. Ruth. Mrs. John T. Dyment. Quincy. Mass.. Eurella. Mrs. Charles G. Ellis, Melrose. Mass. and Julia. Mrs. James Mac- Kay. Stoneham. Mass. Another son. Claude. was killed in action in the First World War.

The funeral will take place at 2.30 Sunday. from the Brae Un- ited Church with a short private service held at the home at 2 o'clock.--S.

The arrest of 26-year-old Doug- las Monro came only a few hours after disclosure of the burglary at the palace.

The dispatch box. used by the marshal of the diplomatic corps for correspondence. was recovered intact in a garbage can near the palace grounds. Scotland Yard said.

Monro will appear at Bow Street court tomorrow to plead to a charge of "burglariously break- ing and entering Buckingham Palace" Thursday night and steal- im the box.

The theft of the box had set off sensational speculation in the London press. some newspaper accounts said the box contained important state papers and secret documents.

Thirty-seven warships, led by the American battleship Missouri and including units of the British, Canadian and Australian navles. bombarded ports. rail lines and other communications facilities along a 130-mile strip of coast from Songjin northward through flaming Chongjin, 140 miles south- west of Vladivostok, Siberian port.

Fighters and bombers of the U. S. Far East. Air Forces covered the area at the some time, firing rockets and dropping bombs on bridges. marshalling yards, ware- houses, docks and wbarfs.

The naval release describing. the bombardment did not identify E the Canadian ships. but it indicat- ed two of the three Canadian des- troyers operating in Korean wat- ers - the Cayuga, Sioux and. Athabaskan - participated.

Speculation Continues

Unsupported speculation con- tinued as to whether this second straight day of east-coast blasting was the prelude to an Allied am- phibious landing or a feint to draw Red attention from a landing in the west.

A spearhead of the U. S. Cavalry Division snared the estimated 20.- 000 Reds when it. swung in be- hind them Friday and seized the road junction town of Hanpo, 65 miles southeast of Pyongyang.

A spokesman for Gen. Mac- Arthur said American infantry- men were "cleaning up" the poc- keted troops in fierce fighting.

Another striking from the east reached Kumchon, eight miles south of Hanpo. a division spokesman an- nounced. The column had travel- led 20 miles north from the bor- der city of Kaesong.

A third column of the 1st Cavalry was advancing slowly along the main road from Kacsong towards Kumchon. clearing Communist- planted mines as it moved. This column knocked out three Red

Hargreaves Quadruplets

Celebrate First Birthday

SAULT STE. MARIE. Oiit.. Oct. i3 - (CP) The Hargreaves quadruplets today celebrated their first birthday. At a party in a new home into which they moved to days ago. each had a tiny cakc topped with a single candle.

Their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Ossie Hargreaves said the children, born prematurely and underweight, are happy and healthy and have from four to seven teeth.

At birth, their weights ranged from three pounds three ounces to three pounds seven ounces. New Joyce Carol weighs 13 pounds to ounces. Janice Barbara 17 pounds six ounces. Joan Diane 1'! pounds three ounces and Jennifer Ann an even 17 pounds.

The average child weighs about 20 pounds on its first birthday.

Jennifer Ann and Jean Diane have light brown hair: the hair of the other two is reddish.

Joan Diane was the weakest of the four at birth. But now. bu
