Retired Editor Dies In Nassau

BORN [N Born at Newcastle-on-Tyne. England. he began his newspa- per career as a reporter on the Newcastle Daily Journal in 1910. He joined the Vancouver News Advertiser staff in 19l5. and later that year worked {or the old Montreal Daily Mail. of which he became news editor. in 1916. he joined the Mont- real Star and went to New York two years later as resident cor- respondent Versatile and keen. he was an illustrator and author of many short stories and pfays as well as a newspaper man. His first wife, the former Blanche Whitley. died in 1951. the mother of his only son. Al- lan. sf Montreal. who survives. In 1952. Mr. Moore married Marjorie Noble. daughter of the late Sir Ernest Bain. who died in England last June. e afso survived by brother. .lohn. of Vancouver. After cremation. a memorial service will be held in Nassau at a date to be determined.
