The attention o! the Public is called to the following:-

‘AN ACT RESPECTING ADVERTISEMENTS ALONG THE PUBLIC HIGHWAYS”

Under this Act no person may erect posters, signs or any other form of advertisement either on the highway or within ONE HUNDRED YARDS of it without a license from the Minister of Public Works and Highways, who may issue or; refuse the license at his discretion.

In certain exceptional cases, listed under the Act, no license fee is charged, but the license itself is necessary in sll cases.

It should be noted that these rules apply to all signs now in place as well as to new ones yet to be erected.

Application forms for a License to erect advertising signs on or near a highway may be had on application to the Department of Public Works and Highways, Char- lottetown.

Persons now having signs on the highway or in tending to erect thereon are requested to make immediate appli- cation for their license.
