The program was on the Llterlcy Movement in India. stories were read by Mrs. Harold Milligan, Mrs. K. G. Sullivan and ltrs. Allison MacLean. A play- etie, "The Letter" was then pre- sented. The business meeting was presided over by the vice-presi- dent. Mrs. William Roach. 21 members and four visitors were present. One new member was added to the roll. A nominating committee for a slate of officers for next year was appointed. l1 house calls and three hospital calls were reported by the mem- bers Three letters of thanks for parcels were read from Mrs. Dahl of Norway. Before leaving Canada they paid a visit to Otts/wa to the Papal Delegate at whose residence the Mother Superior of the Order of the Sisters of The Holy Family is an aunt of Mr. Perry. At Washing- ton they called to pay their respects to Mrs. Perry's aunt who is a sister in the same Order there. Mr. and Mrs. Perry speak very highly of the hospitality and kindness extended
