With a crowd far exceeding that o; the previous nights. the City Hospital annual Bazaar went ovel with great success at the Char- ‘lottetown Armouries last night.

One of the outstanding events of 135g, nlghlfs program was the fine musical concert put on by the band of H.M.CS. "Magnificent" by klnd, permission of Commodore Miller, O.B.E. 1n addition to the band concert Piper Coya, piano wcordionist Virgent and singing guitarist Tiison. accompanied by an additional harmonica player all ‘of I-I.M.C.S. "Haida" rendered en- joyable numbers.

The winner of the chicken din- ner donated by Miss Gertrude goody was Leo Murphy, 94 Dor- chester St» Charlottetown, while the first door prize. a genuine leather hassock donated by Mac- Farlane Bros. Furniture Store was won by Miss Betty McInnis_ 23-1 Queen St., Charlottetown. The second door pflw. a jumbo thermos bottle was won by Mrs. Joseph Kelley, Hillsboro Row.

CITY POLICE COURT—At the Stipendiury Magistrate's Court yes- terday, two men cherged with be- ing drunk and disorderly were each fined $10 and costs or 20 days. A third charged with being drunk and incapable was sentenced to 10 days in jail.

FIRE IN BARN - City firemen were called out twice during yes- terdsy. with the first alarm about 33) yesterday afternoon when a fire broke out in the engine of a car on Fitzroy Street, with firemen YvPorting that no damage was caused. A very large congregation filled the Kirk of St. James yesterday, when friends from all parts of the Island met to pay a final tribute to the late Rev. Thomas W. Good- will who died as the result of l heart attack in the Prince Edward Island Hospital on Oct. 12 st the age of 76.

Under the auspices of the Pros- bytery of Prince Edward Island. the service was conducted by the Rev. James A. McGowan of Ken- sington, assisted by the minister of the Kirk, Rev. T. H. Buasel Som- ers. In his address, Rev. Donald Nicholson of Brookfield referred in moving terms to the qualities oi’ the late Mr. Goodwill as s pastor, teacher, preacher and friend.

Among the mourners were his widow and daughter, Edna, from Toronto and his son Victor Good- will. Members of the Presbytery attended in a body and with two additional friends, the pallbearers consisted of elders from the four congregations within his pastoral charge, Canoe Cove. Clyde River. Churchill and Nine Mile Creek and included, Norman MacDonald, Ai- bert MacDougall, Laughlin Mac- Kinnon. Norman McFadyen, John A. MucKlnnon and A. A. MacDon- aid.

The funeral music was arranged by Miss Lillian McKenzie, organist of the Kirk of St. James.

The service at Highfield Ceme- tery wan conducted by Rev. James A. McGowan. assisted by Rev. T. H. Bussel Somers and Rev. Donald Nicholson.
