Kinsmen Carnival Gels Underway Al Summirside

The annual Kinsmen carnival which is being held in the Curling Rink. Summerside. was officially opened last evening by His Wor- ship Mayor Henry Wedge who complimented the club on the fine work that they are doing and no appealed to the people of the town to give .their support by attending the carnival which will be held every night this week. Mayor Wedge recalled that the club had donated the sum of 51,000 to the Community Rink Fund from the receipts from last year's carnival and he described this as a splendid. gesture. l

Club president George Olscamp” also spoke and said that the main projects of the Kinsmen Club are devoted to youth welfare and he said that this carnival is the main means that the club has of raising fttnds.
