LONDON, Jan. Zil-The Morning Post says today a preliminary agreement has been reached on a. proposed contract for the sale oi Russian timber" tc Great Britain. Further discussions are proceeding on the details, it says, and the Beard oi ‘Prado is expected to re- ceive the concluded contract within the next week.

The proposed contract is on the basis of 400,000 standards being token at a lower price and with re- introduction oi the “mil clause" as s saieguard to British importers concerned.
