Anniversary Of legion At .. Miscouche Today

Today the Miscouche Legion 1 Branch is holding an afternoon . and evening of varied activity in honor of the 10th anniversary of the opening of their home. The building was officially open- ed ten years ago by the then Lieutenant Governor Hon. J.A. Bernard. and this fine home has served the branch ever since as a centre of social and frater- nal activities.

The observances today are under the direction of a past president of the branch. Mr. P. C. Martin. chairman of the ac- tivities committee, Mr. O.J. Gal- ' lant is presently the branch pres- ident and other officers are: first vice-president Elmer Gau- det; second vice-president, Ber- nard Gallant; secretary- treasur- er Frank MacNeill. Mr. William Deslloches is the caretaker.

The Summerslde Sea Cadet Band returns home this evening after seven weeks training at H.'.ii.C.S. Stadacona. Halifax. This year the band had the hon- or of being attached to a regular navy base and supp.ied music for naval parades and other ac- tlvlties.
