For those of you who don't know me, my name is Terry Palmer and I am the newly acclaimed President of the UPEI Student Union.

I am more than confident that we' can do mOre than an adequate job.

My platform is relatively simple; that is, to clear up the operation in the‘ Barn i.e. bar operations, campus police, install a filing system and follow through with the recommend- ations of the Restructuring mmm. .

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank-you to everyone who. supported me in the recent Student Union Election, and also to send out a special thanks to those who helped me prepare for the election.

And, "finally, -I_ would like to congratulate my opponent Larry LeBlanc, who ran an excellent campaign. I hope his interest continues in the Student Union and he will be around next year to help make it a better place.

In reference to your March 26 editorial, I would like to refresh you on a couple of people mentioned in the colurm, and then,if I may, voice my opinion.

You said that Neil Mackenzie can owe thanks to some people for getting CIMN into the library lounge? I don't think Neil should thank those people at all — instead of this, don't you think

‘ elected for that job.

Neil should be thanked? Take a_lcok at what he

has done this year... and all you can do’is put him dam? .In order for anyone to gain any self respect he must kmw people have confidence in him. I think this applies to Neil's . situation. '

I am also on edge about the lovely fine lines dedicated to Sue Parlee.

It is a sad thought when one considers that the Vice— president spends more time at Gentleman Jim's than she does in the Barn".

It must be hard and time consuming for youtc follow Sue around everywhere she goes. It is obvious you don't know how mucl time Sue really spends at the Barn. People who read your editorail probabay' have the impression SP8 Parlee is an alcoholic.

How do you think she feels?

In re—reading your column, you give me the belief of yourself of being an anti-mainlander.

ripped down (particularly during ‘the recent SU election ). This action I feel is uncalled for and immature.
