The funeral of Mrs. Peter Rich- ard was held at St. Anthony's Church on Monday. Feb. 4th. The large crowd of friends and neigh- bors testified to the esteem in which Mrs. Richard was held.

It was decided to have a High Mass for a member of this sub- division who recently passed away. Plans were also made to hold three consecutive-card parties in the Parish Hall with four members to act as hostesses each evening. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Brydon Smith with Mrs. Alton O'Brien and Mrs. Everett Shea as assistant hostesses. Entertainment will be planned by Mrs. Alton O'Brien. Mrs. Arthur Bernard. Mrs. Edwin MacDonald and Mrs. Brydon Smith. Refreshments were served by the hostess. assisted by a com- inittee.

ASEPH BLAKENEY
The death occurred at. his home in Sea View on Jan. 14th of Mr. Aseph Blakeney. aged 64 years.- The deceased had been in failing health for the past year. and had undergone an opertalon In the Prince County Hospital two months prior to his death, returning home- with the hopes that he would be restored to health. But. God willed otherwise. and in spite of the best medical skill and tender nursing. he gradually weakened. and passed peacefully away on the above men- tioned date.
The funeral was held from his late residence on Wednesday after- noon. Jan.ll6th. and was largely attended. Rev. R. Coupland con- ducted the service. The hymns sung were "There Is No Night in Heaven" and "Sun Of My Soul". The Masonic brethren of King Edward Lodge held their service beside th casket of the deceased, who had can a member for sev- oral years. The service was under direction of Bro. E. Dimiiing. Left to mourn are one sister and three brothers: (Donn Mrs. Cold- well of Worcester, Mass; George and Ray. also of Worcester. and Spurgeon. Arndale. N. E.
