MONCTON. N. B., May 20-—(CPi -—Trafflc resumed tonight over the Canadian National Railways main line at Upper Dorchester, 24 miles east of here, after wrecking crews cleared away 18 derailed freight cars.

The line was blocked for 14 hours after the cars of a fast freight jumped the tracks. No one was injured but damage“ was be- lieved extensive.

While rcpnlr crews from Mono- ton cleared the debris and laid new tracks, passengers were carried by bus between Dorchester and Mone- ton, where train connections were made.

Railway officials said cause of the runoff was being investigated. Cause was not yet known.

BERLIN. May 21—(Saturday) (C?) —- Western Berlin railway workers went on strike against their Russian managers at 12:01 a. m. today, abandoning elevated trains where they stood at the mo- ment. The elevated is the only do- pendable form of transportation for 3,000,000 Berliners.

An official British statement, is- sued shortly before the walkout, blamed Soviet Zone authorities to whose "callous disregard of their employees‘ interests" the strike was attributable.
