There are three Can- didates running in the el- .ection for the position of Comptroller. These are:

Bill Chandler, a Junior in Science, majoring in physics; Eugene Kenny, a SophomOre in

. Arts, majoring in history;

and Bob Thompson, a Junior in Arts, also majoring in history. The comptroller

for the Campus Police, the Barn, and all the S.U. proL perty.

_ All three believe they are qualified for the job. Bill Chandler has experience

on the Student Council and works in the Barn with the Barn cafeteria staff.

Gene Kenny is now a member of the campus police force. Bob Thompson worked on the bar in the Panther Lounge last year and is a member of the campus police force this year.

As the comptroller is directly responsible for the campus police, we ask— ed each of them what they thought on the subject.

4 Bill Chandler said that "there is definite room for improvement and one way to do it is to ah have tighter controls."

By having tighter con- trols he means that the C.P.'s need a better

The Barn is cheaply built and it doesn't take much to kick a hole in the well. > {Gene Kenny said, "the campus police were not well organized this year" and that if they had a better working relationship they would function more smooth— ly. He would also like to have a say in who becomes chief of the campus police next year. . ‘ Bob Thompson said, there were’a few problems

Bill said that to make any major changes in the physical appearance of the Barn would cost a lot of money. There is also the
