Hinton, Q.C., a resident of Tig- nish pleaded guilty to assault and was fined S10 and costs of S1435 and ordered to pay civil dam- ages of 512 for property damage incurred by the complainant. The incident occurred at a dance hall at St. Lawrence. This same Tig- nish man was also charged with causing a disturbance at the dance and was fined 31 and costs of 518.75 on this charge. A real- dent cf Alberton was fined S50 and costs, the minimum fine for his second offence of being in- toxicated in a public place. The same man was also fined 310 for obstructing the police officer who arrested him. A resident of Indian River was fined 520 and costs for being intoxicated in a public place.-S. .

-St. Paul's Church, Summer- side, was the scene of a pretty wedding yesterday morning at o'clock when Henrietta Coyle, daughter-of Mr. and Mrs. Ell Gallant and Joseph Lloyd Polrler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Poirler, Summerside, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. Joseph MacLeod.

BOSTON. (AP) - A Boston fire department official testified Tubs- day that the fire which swept the Norwegian freighter Black Falcon Monday, killing seven lon-gshore- men, was 'entlre1y" in drums of sodium peroxide stowed in the holds.

Edward F. Montgomery. chief of the fire prevention bureau. told a coast guard board of inquiry that the drum-s were blown apart in the fire.

Service Station Al Eimsdale Is Destroyed

The White Rose service station at Elmsdale was destroyed by fire about 11.30 Monday night. The blaze was not noticed until it was too for advanced to save thelarge stock of tires and garage quip- ment.
