Mr. Willard Muttart of the of- fice staff of M. F. Schurman Co.. Ltd., died yesterday moi-ning- at seven o'clock in the Prince County Hospital after a brief illness. Death was caused by heart fail- ure. He was 62 years of age.

Previous to that he had held several responsible posi- tions in Summerside, among Vt'hlCfll were accountant with the Warren Paving Company when they were engaged in paving work in the Province and as a member of the staff of the Town Clerks Office and with the Canadian National Railway, Summerside. l-lls health had been good up to about a week ago when he entered the Prince County Hospital for observation and treatment.

The late Mr. Mutlart was a man who at all times had the interest of the community at heart. He was ready at all times to. assist in any worthy project for the bettcr- ment of the Town. For many years he was a member local fire department and at his death was an honorary member of the brigade.

Mr. Shanks, who lives on Duke Street. has been in Summerside since the start of the school year. He has an enviable record. in Air Cadet work. having been com- manding officer of the Perth, NB. Squadron for two years and hav- ing held the same position with the Edmundston Squadron for the past five years. This year, for the third successive y e a r.
