The present Edition was In Charlotte-Town; is the first Work of magnitude printed in this, or any other of H ritannic Majesty‘s Possessions in North Americaz—The Work is composed of a fine bold modern cut English Type, entirely new, printed with Ink and Paper of the best quality, and in a quarto shape, decidedly the best size for Family use For the information of those persons who may feel disposed to patronize so laudable an undertaking, the publisher embraces this opportunity of giving publicity to the following Conditions which accompanies the first Part of the Work.

I.-This edition of the Hon Scarrruncs will be printed to bind in two handsome volumes, on good Paper, and with fine Ink.

ll.-—Tbe Old and New Testaments will be completed in 128 Numbers, price Seven pence half penny each, also in Parts, price Five Shillings each, a Part to con- tain Eight Numbers.

III.—-The Apocrypha will be printed for those Subscribers who wish to take it,

lV.—The whole work will be embellished with Seventeen Engravings, executed by good Artists.

V.—Every person taking the first Part will be considered a Subscriber, and ex- pected to take at least a double number [or after that rate] per week, until the work is completed: to prevent broken copies this condition is indispensable.

VL—The work will be delivered to Subscribers free of any additional expence, pay- able on delivery.

VIL—Each Number will contain 12 pages of letter-press, and each Part 96 pages, except those double Numbers, or Parts, which contain plates, where each plate will be considered equivalent to one sheet of Letter—Press: but should the Old and New Testaments exceed 1‘28 Numbers the overplus will be given gratis. Numbers 5 and 6, and the succeeding Numbers will be put into Double Num- bers for the convenience of delivery, and will contain the same quantity as two single Numbers.

' The scarcity of money being generally felt in the Country, the Publisher proposes for the encouragement of those persons desirous of purchasing so indispenxihle a part ofa Christian Library. to take Merchantahle Grain in payment. at Charlotte-Town rash price. A person in each County as central as possible. will be appointed to receive the same, from the First at February to the Thirty-first March, in each year, for the convenience at those Subscribers remotely situated.

Tenders will also be received till the10th of December for an Academy, to he built inChay. latte-Town, the Plan and Specification of which may be seen at the same place.

No Tender will be received unless good and sufficient security be offered for the due per- formance of the respective contracts.
