LET'S GET IT STRAIGHT! God Spoke Through The Prophets

Fulfilled Prophecy .t@ undeniable evidence that ‘Prophecy ‘came not in old time by the will of man: but holy. men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost’. (II Peter 1:20, 21). é

Unbelievers usually reject the witness of prophecy by saying that the prophets wrote their aecounts after the said events had taken place. However, rie could not be: so in the following examples.

The Lord Jesus foretold his ascension, and the coming of the Holy Spirit, as the true Vicar of Christ to his Church, during his absence, then adds, ‘“And now I have told you before it come to pass, that when it ts come to pass, ye might believe’. (St. John 14:29). Both these predictions have long since become historie facts. The question is, have you believed in Jesus Christ because of them? If not, why not? What further evidence ; i do you expect God to give you? The Prophet Raniel, about fhe year 520 B.C. had an amaz- ing prophecy pearning the time, of Messiah’s coming, and death. (Danielf’9: 24-26). In his book, “The Coming Prince, Sir Robert Anderson peep mee ey presented himself to Israel as their King, foretold, and in accordance with the pro- shesy ar: FSeshetah who wrote about the same time as.- Daniel.’ (Matthew 21:4,5). (I Peter 3:18) That he might “reconcile us to God by the blood of his cross”. “TO HIM GIVE ALL THE PROPHETS WITNESSES, THAT THROUGH HIS NAME WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHALL RECEIVE REMISSION OF SINS.” (Acts. 10-48). For by Grace are ye = , through Faith, and that not of God, not of Works, lest any man should boast.’’ (Ephesians 2:8,9).
