Curious:

7% of heterosexual respondents had a sexual experience with someone of the same sex. 18% of students considered, or fantasized about the same sex. However, only 1% of women had fantasized about other women. This is strikingly different from the 1993 survey, which found that 22% of men and

feelings for this person, and if we will have a relationship yes I would

say ‘yes’.

Homophobia:

70% of respondents had gay, lesbian, or bisexual friends. Approximately half of those friends were open about their sexuality. 78% of women felt it was acceptable to be homosexual or bisexual, and

21% of women had thoughts of sexual experiences with the same sex. When asked how they would respond to an approach by someone of the same sex, students responded with a wide variety of comments. Responses ranged from outright profanity, polite ‘‘no’’’s, to curiosity. Some comments were: ‘*I would need to get to know them more,’’ ‘‘Sorry, but I admire your forwardness,”’ ‘“Yuck,’’ ‘*No to romance or sex, but I could handle friendship,”’ ‘‘I would freak out solid,’’ ‘‘I would give it a chance,”’ ‘*Depending on who it is, if I had _

80% of men felt that homosexuality was acceptable. One half of homosexual and bisexual respondents felt that they had experienced homophobia. When asked how they felt about heterosexuality, students generally expressed satisfaction. When asked to comment on homosexuality, some of the comments included ‘‘all for one, one for all,’’ ‘‘it’s ok if they keep it to themselves,’’ ‘‘none of my business what goes on behind closed doors,’’ ‘‘stop, drop, and roll. I’m not into it, but it is ok if they are.”’

Sexiest Part of The Body:

This category provided the widest variety of responses. Just about every part of the body was covered from hair to feet. We particularly liked the people who felt that ‘‘my ash’’ [sic] and ‘‘my penis’’ were the sexiest parts. The butt seemed to be the overall winner. Chests and breasts came in a close second. Other responses included collarbone, brains, eyes, smile, stomach, neck, lips, navel, face, legs, hands. We also found a few foot fetishists, and there were two votes for the clitoris. The most original answer was “‘my shoes.”’

Are we offensive?

10% of respondents were offended by our questions. 12% of men were offended, while 8% of women were. Those that were offended commented that they were particularly offended by the questions regarding masturbation, and the sexiest professors. Other people felt that we were just too nosy.

Questions:

Suggested questions for future surveys included requests for questions on threesomes, attitudes on porn, sex toys, favourite positions, and monogamy. There were also requests for fewer questions regarding homosexuality. Oddly enough, some of the people who complained that the survey was offensive requested more personal questions. »
