Special mention should be made of Al Hume, who at one time played for the Islanders in Junior hockey, the Acadia goalkeeper who let in only one of the 22 shots made upon him during the final perio d.

In the championship game we got away to a good start with Danny Murphy scoring the open— ing goal at the 13:06 minute mark on a pass from Danny Les— sard...Gerry McCarron made it 2—0 after fourteen minutes in the second frame, and a minute later Danny Murphy again with assists going to Ray O'Donnell

I am hearing a few complaints in regards to play— ing our hockey games at the Charlottetwon Forum, thus this

During the regular season, that is all A.U.A.A. league games, students will be admit— ted free of charge on present— ation of their student I.D. card. However this weekend's tournament and any other tour— nament is different.

This coming weekend, the

required to pay for admission. I believe the price is one dollar daily for two games.

If we were to play any post season games at the Forum, the league w5uld determine the price and U.P.E.I. students would be required to pay ad— mission. The same would apply if we were to play other non— conference games there, say against Junior and Senior teams. But I repeat, for all A.U.A.A. games, U.P.E.I. stu— dents will be able to gain free admission.

I hope this letter explains the situation but if you have any questions feel free to call upon me.

We would also like to regis— ter our pleasure at the news that the injury to Jamie Bal- lem of the basketball Panthers is not nearly as serious as was first reported in the press & Jamie ,with a sprain instead of a break,is not ex- pected to lose any league ac— tion.Some hoop fans go for

In football on Saturday we lost to SMU 33-3 but,like ev— ery game played this year we

Exciting Tourney

We lost...we were not outcl— assed bythe third ranked team in the nation and we feelthe Panther football squad need have no need for remorse as they look back at the,, 1975 season in spite of a 1—5 re- cord. In closing we'll bid farewell to Dick Young, Paul Horne, Dave Lidstone, Roy Tay- lor and Kip Puiia who, due to graduation next Spring, have played their last game for us. Thanks for the good entertain- ment and many thrills you have given to us and all U.P.E.I. fans...we hope you have enjoy— ed playing for us as much as we liked youand we hope you'll look back, with pleasure,to your U.P.E.I. days.

Next week the Hockey Pan— thers go to Sackville for two games with Mount A and the basketball Panthers travel to Gary Heald's state of Maine for an exhibition series...let us hope that they come back with victories to their credit but boys...don't try any Maine accent on us...you shouldn't acquireififlt in one weekend!

Oh yes...lest we forget,~' Pantherettes are starting bas— ketball practise and we note that they are also forming a hockey team...watch out,girls, for Ontario's attorney general McMurty...he'll have his eye on you. .
