OTTAWA (CP)—The Cana- r dian index of farm production shot to a record 164.1 in 1963. the bureau of statistics said Wednesday.

The index is based on the 1949 physical volume of production equalling 100. The previous high was 152.2 in 1962.

The 1963 index got Its bigget boost from the huge wheat crop in Saskatchewan and Alberta. But there also were small in- creases in the output of cattle. g
