Stock Prices Rally After Break

NEW YORK, June 6 - (AP) — The stock market dug in for a stand in the last half hour today after plunging to o. two-year low. Despite the late buying support. though, the market took one of the worst spills of the year. Final prices were down fractions to 2 points and in some cases more. Last-minute support interrupted s slide that threatened to send the general price level back to s bottom since 1944.

The current level of prices is re- garded as highly critical because it has not been broken — although three attempts have been made - since it was first established iii the fall of i946.

Turnover mounted to 1,380,000 shares, one of the fastest sessions of the year and s high since 1,860- 000 shares sold on March 30.
