Millionaires Defeat Glace Bay 4-1 To Deadlock Series

GLACE BAY, N. S.. (CP)-Sym ney Millionaires deadlocked their Miiritime Major Hockey League best-of-nine semi-finals 1-1 Wed- nesday night by defeating Glaco Bay Miners 4-1.

Glace Bay. however, have an- nounced that they are protesting the manner in which the referees. Jim Kelly and Mike Choma. han- dled the game.

Sydney scored two unanswered goals in the first period and Glace Bay scored the lone goal in the second. Sydney added two more in the third.

Charlie Marshall and Gordie Cowan each picked up a goal and an assist for Sydney while Lorne Plrie and Duke McDonald added the others. Gordie Myles scored the Glace Bay goal.

Both teams played wide-open hockey in the mat period. In the closing minutes of that period Jean Guy Renaud of Sydney and Frank Arnett each drew majors for fighting.
