e e ¥ e Anti-Domino’s Campaign Carleton Universities' pro-choice group is planning a campaign against the campus Dominos counter when they learned that the Americanowner ofthe pizza chain funded anti-abortion efforts. In the 1980’s, Thomas Monaagh, founder and president of Domino’s madea personal donation of $50,000 tothe Michigan State Committee to End Tax Funded Abortions. Domino’s Canadian President stresses that this was a personal donation, and doesn’t represent the views of Domino’s. Vera Hrebacka of the pro-choice network says that Dominos is putting a lot of money into the pro-life movement, and plans to boycott. Carleton S.U. president Richard Stanton feels that a student boycott would not be productive since the proceeds from Domino sales on campus go toward Student Services, except for 5% royalty and 2.5% advertising fees.

European heritage week helt = a

St. Catharines, Ont host European Heritage week last Novem- ber, sponsored by the Nationalist Party of Canada. The poster for the event depicted the likenesses of Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini, and featured swastikas and Nazi slogans. Several other communities voiced support for the events, but later backed down. The Nationalist Party states that the event was

given the Royal Seal of Approval by the Queen, but it was rescinded. The mayor of St. Catharine explained that he di support the Nationalist party itself, buy was instead ‘‘reco; ing the contributions of the European people to Cana Richard Berman, research and communications office B’nai Brith Canada, a Jewish advocacy group called | ““neo-Nazi racists.”
