Mac- Kenzie of the United Church of Montague, has for the past week been guest preacher at annivers- ary services of the return of their Minister the Rev. Norman Mac- Queen at Clarendon Hill Presby- terian Church, Somerville, Mass. Dr. Macxenzie preached many services and also related his many experiences during his ministry. to the people or the church and the Women's Missionary society. A dinner was held in the church in honor of the occasion. Dr. Mac- Kenzie has many friends and re- latives in the vicinity and was able to visit with them and renew acquaintances with them and his old friends. While visiting there he was the guest of the minister or the church, the Rev. Norman MacQueen or Somerville, Alexan- der K. Maclseod, his foster-broth- or. and his nephew Athoi D. Mac- Leod oi Cambridge. Dr. MscKen- zie left for home on Monday by train and by air from Moncton to Charlottetown. from where he motored home to Montasile.

Rev. MacKenzie has also con- ducted such schools in Kensing- ton. O'Leary and Marshfield. as a

result. of these schools or-ganists and choir have been encouraged and quite a number of hymn

festivals have been held. At these festivals churches have been filled to capacity. and there has been great enthusiasm.

Construction Well Underway On Georgetown Road

Almost two miles of the high- way extending from Georgetown to Poole's Corner, has hrcn pari- ly completed with gravel top. it was learned yesterday.

Over 35 trucks employed by the County Construction Co. have been hauling for ten days from the MacDonald pit in Kiimuir. and up to the present have lnlii over 9000 yards from Georgetown towards Pnole's Corner.

A very large fill-in was requir- ed at the turn leading to George- town which slowed up the sched- ule slightly. but since this has been completed the work hnx been speeded up considerably. Al- ready in considerable portion is ready for the first covering of crushed gravel. It was thought that this first oil covering could be started by the Warren PnvlngACompnny this week. but the unsettled wea- lhcr may prove. an obstacle.

"rhree films in connection with the Family Rosary crusade were shown to large audiences in the Town Hall in Georgetown on Sunday afternoon. The first show- ing of the films was for children and the second showing for ad- ults. The films were: "The Road To Peace". starring Bing Crosby and Ann Blyth; "Hill No. 1", and "The Joyful Hour.” . The film "The Road t.n Peace" analyses different. attempts made to attain word peace but finds out that the only way is through It return to God and family pm;-er. "The Joyful Hour" portrays three of the joyful mysteries. the snnunciation. the visitation. and the birth of our Lord.

"Hill No. 1" depicts scenes sur- rounding the Cruciiixion and re- surrection of Christ.

Father Patrick Peyton, who is directing the Crusade and who has had i " success in enlisting the services of Hollywood stars in the campaign for family prayer. spoke on the screen fol- lowing each film. .

ports that everything is in read- iness for the Clinic to be held in the Beaver Club Hall this eve- n-ing between '1 and 9. He ex- pressed the hope that the res- idcnis of Montague and vicinity would again exceed their quota of 100 as they did six months ago when the last clinic was held there.

Morell Set For 100 Donors Today

The organizers of the Red Cross Blood Donor Clinic at Morell have devised a novel way in which to line up donors for the Clinic to be held there this morning between 10 and 12 olclock. They have posted I large sign in each of the two stores and have urged the people of Morell and surrounding dis- tricts to sign their names on this placard. Those signing their names were also promised trans- portation to and from the clinic. On Monday afternoon there were at least so names posted on these cards so those in charge express- ed the hope that both cards would be well filled up by Wednesday and that even more would come without having signed their n- es. Everyone in the Province is entitled to receive free blood transfusions when needed so ev- eryone who is- in good health and between the ages of 18-65 should volunteer as a donor. No one knows when he or she may need a transfusion so by being donors people protect themselves as well as their neighbours. it is not right that l few hundred people should be donors over and over again while the majority never seem to feel that the situation
