elected to Senate this time last year, I thought that that was all that I would be involved in. Being on Senate leads to an ex— officio seat on the Stud- ent.Council. Then there are appointments to the Senate sub—committees V and to Council committees. Plus, there are the other things you.are interested in aside from these. In the end, your one election may lead to alot of other things, alot more than you bargained for.

It's not fair to the candidates who put their name up for election to be slapped back and faced with the criticism from

Prof. Fred Dreger has pleaded temporary insanity when he was asked why (and how) he ripped off books from our burgular—proof library. Eye witnesses, stated that the learned proffessor trucked right though the electronic arch, it started buzzing, and he kept on trucking. Students working on the desk refused to stop him so he got away. When Prof. Dreger was called to testify he stated that he never realized that anything had happened. Prof. Dreger then .3314 that he would return the two small books which he said he never realized he had taken. He was then patted on the head and .headed off to: the library.

Let's just hope that this " academic freedom does not get out of hand and include ripping off. books from our burgular proof library.
