March 24 --(Satut- day)-(AP)-A United states Air Force officer at Shannon Airport said today flares and ueckage were sighted along the route over the Atlantic followed by the long- overdue C-124 transport. miasin with 53 persons aboard. A pilot of one of the armada of searching planes sighted the aircraft.

Consider Home For Delinquent Boys In Province

The Provincial Government has taken steps to buy a rather large home for delinquent boys in the Province. it was announced in the Legislature Thursday by Premier J." Walter Jones.

One home under conside ution is in the Belfast district and an- other in thegcucorgetown area.

Most. of the delinquent boys are clever boys misdirected, stat- ed the Premier. if they were looked after and taught handl- crafta and farming they could become valuable citizens, he add- ed. With regard to costs. he not- ed that. in the past few years the Province-has been sending boys to Halifax or Saint John at I coat of 5600 each a year.

TOKYO. March 24 -(Saturday) -- (C P) -- Geri. Douglas Mac Arthur said today the Allies have cleared South Korea of most or- ganized Communist forces and invited the Reds to confer on a statement of the Korean war.

In a statement before leaving Tokyo for the front. MacArthur said he is "ready at any time to confer in the field with the com- mander-in-chief of the enemy forces in the earnest effort" to settle the war "without further bloodshed."

He said the Chinese hard hit and their supply wrecked. MacArthur added.

"The enemy must by now be painfully aware that a decision of the United Nations to depart from its tolerant effort to containtthe war to the area of Korea. through an expansion 0 our military op- erations to his coastal areas and
